As you start to set your New Year goals or resolutions, what do you see as your biggest obstacles?
Do your goals include a new job, new house, or a new diet? While you’re making your plan of attack to reach these goals, what strikes you as the hardest part? Is it the interview? Finding the perfect neighborhood? When you’re visualizing things that could hold you back, do you ever see yourself?
Gil Corkindale said it best “‘Imposters’ suffer from self-doubt and a sense of intellectual fraudulence that override any feelings of success or external proof of their competence.” This is basically seeing yourself as the weak link in the plan to reach your goals.
If a new job tops out your list, then it’s time to brush up on your interview skills.
