Job Goals In November: How to Finish the Year Strong!
Job goals this late in the year? November is hard enough. The pretty leaves have all fallen, it’s dark at 5pm, and the windshield is frozen every morning. The stress of a busy holiday season or travels is starting to set in, and you’re thinking about never leaving the house again. Between crazy schedules and family gatherings you’re starting to wonder how you’ll make it to 2020. Stay strong, there are still almost 6 weeks left in 2019 and we need to make the most of them!
Here’s how:
-
1: Schedule Your Priorities
Create a calendar for this season and include everything you NEED to do. Make sure to give yourself time for things that are important to you. This includes everything from gift shopping, cooking, or even just walking the dog.
-
2: Stick to Your Routine
Try to stay to your normal routine as much as possible. During stressful times this can have a huge impact on how you handle the day. If you go to the gym Wednesday, mark on your calendar for it and make it happen!
-
3: Finish Tasks
Make sure you are setting yourself up to start your New Year without anything from 2019 unfinished. Set aside time to tie up loose ends and start the year fresh.
-
4: Enjoy it
Slow down and smell the roses (or Grandma burning Thanksgiving Dinner). Be present for everything you do. Take a moment to reflect on your year; accomplishments, failures, lessons, and growth. Be proud of yourself and your year!
Now buckle down and get ready for a great last 6 weeks of 2019!
