Summary:
Our client is currently seeking a full-time Professional Civil Engineer to support their Commercial Business. The primary responsibility will be design review of shop drawings and joist/truss designs which are prepared for their commercial construction materials business. The Professional Engineer will also be responsible for leadership and providing training guidance to designers, EITs, and a technical sales force. Secondary responsibilities may include development and implementation of design methodologies, code evaluation approvals, and implementation of the Quality Management System.

Requirements, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications):
- Successful candidates must be able to thrive in a team environment to deliver for their customers.
- Registered Professional Engineer.
- Experience in Structural or Civil Engineering required.
- Experience with Engineered Wood Products and a general knowledge of wood construction is a plus.
- Must be computer literate, including EXCEL and WORD. Experience with Revit or the willingness to quickly learn is a plus.
- Must have excellent written and oral skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with customers, sales associates, and the technical team.
- Must be able to provide design assistance to design professionals, builders, building inspectors, and sales associates.
- Manufacturing and product application knowledge is desirable.
