The February Job Search
January is well known as one of the top months to find a new job, but did you know February is too? Everyone is back after the holidays and as new goals are established, new positions are created. Companies are looking to fill their teams up to tackle the new year.
How to take advantage of the momentum:
Start with your goals. Think about what you’re looking for, what you need, and what you want. Seek out companies you would like to know more about. Once you have a few in mind, it’s time to take a deep dive into your network.
Put Your Network to Work:
Think about who you know and start to reach out. Even if you don’t think they know someone, they may know someone who knows someone. Build your network and don’t be afraid to ask your connections if they have any connections. You never know who they might be able to connect you with.

Get out there! Do a search for Boise events and you’ll be amazed at how much is going on! There are events for every industry from technology to marketing. Find one that interests you, sign up, and go! Once you’re there, don’t forget to be social! Set a goal for yourself to talk to a certain number of people, or to collect x amount of business cards.
