Twin Falls: More Than Meets The Eye!
Boise isn’t the only Idaho area being put on the map! Twin Falls is the hub of Southern Idaho and it’s no longer a hidden gem. Boasting breathtaking canyons, mighty rivers, and roaring waterfalls, this Idaho City has a booming economy to brag about.
The Silicone Valley of Food
Many call Twin Falls the ‘Silicon Valley of Food’. The region has a massive dairy supply and extensive range of agriculture products. Large employers like Chobani, Clip Bar, Glanbia Nutritionals, and Amalgamated Sugar are investing BILLIONS to set up shop. Can you believe Chobani operates the WORLD’S LARGEST yogurt facility here?! Twin Falls also houses a growing food science and R&D sector and a full range of complimentary food support services. Chobani is investing $21 million to build a Community Innovation Center that houses their Global R&D Center. Because half of Idaho’s dairy processors are located here, Twin Falls is a hub for dairy innovation. In fact, coming 2021, the largest and most advanced research dairy in the United States will break ground here. This project will include a demonstration farm, agro-tourism center, 2,000- cow dairy and dorm rooms. Education and training the future workforce will improve the industry’s productivity.
Business Is Booming!
The University of Idaho’s Research and Extension Center conducts research projects related to agricultural economics and a variety of other ag-related subjects. In addition, this region benefits from having access to the College of Southern Idaho’s Workforce Development & Training program. This program provides a range of apprentice, industry specific, and custom training programs to attract, grow, and retain the talent infrastructure. With great economy and population growth, it’s only natural that Twin Falls Downtown scene is also blossoming. Their historic downtown underwent a $20 million makeover and has brought an increase in traffic to their locally owned bike shops, breweries and a variety of other small businesses.
A Place To Call Home
All in all, it’s no surprise that these businesses put their roots down in Southern Idaho as there’s strong sustainable growth in this region. The strong workforce and talent market will continuously push businesses forward and bring about positive change. Kit Crawford, Co-Owner of Clif Bar & Co. had this to say: “From the moment we first stepped foot in Twin Falls, we felt an immediate connection with the city’s people, natural surrounding and community… Twin Falls is a very special place.” It’s no lie when we tell you at RNG, we feel the same way! We look forward to continuing building long-lasting relationships with the businesses and talent market that moves Twin Falls forward!
