WFH Tips: Mastering the Home Office
Here are our Tips & Tricks to Maximize Your Work (From Home) Flow
WFH tips are becoming ESSENTIAL. As the Coronavirus continues rear its ugly head – workers everywhere are spending less time in the office and more time working from home. Remote work has tripled since the beginning of the pandemic, and all types of workers are able to see the benefits and detriments of working from home in real time.
Since many employees and employers are left with no option but to offer remote work, finding strategies to stay productive is critical to continuing to perform well in the workplace. I asked our team what their best “Work From Home” tips are – and here’s what they said:
Kayla Otto: Listen up
I recommend high-frequency binaural beats! These beats will improve your concentration and productivity.
John Hosmer: Address Your Household Needs
Best thing about working from home for me is the ability to take care of things at home that could otherwise be a distraction; I can clean up the kitchen for a few minutes or do some dinner prep. Being able to take care of my pets and household needs in between work tasks helps keep overall stress levels low and helps me stay focused on my work – since I’m not thinking about the other things.
Pete Richter: Utilize the flexibility
Being able to get out of bed and go straight to work is a huge benefit of working from home because it saves a lot of time. Also, it’s easier for me to limit distractions while at home, but can also be a double edge sword. That’s why I love the flexibility of both!
Bianca Tovar: Coffee
… enough said.
Zoe Shealy: Find Your Spot
I recommend having a good, calm space to work in when you’re at home. Gotta have a good environment to be successful!
Hailey Huston: Limit distractions
Finding ways to stay focused and limit distractions is critical to being productive at home for me. I find that having good lighting and a comfortable place to sit keeps me focused! If I am sitting in my office and I start to feel like I’m scattered – I’ll move my workstation to my dining room table to re-focus myself.
